So I went on a photoshoot with my sister Gina and took my camera along with me just for fun. (Kudos to CJ Photography for doing an awesome job!) These are just some snapshots I took throughout the shoot from behind the set. Still trying to learn the ins and outs of my MarkIII…. work in progress….

Graceland :-D

So over Christmas break my husband and I went to Tunica, MS to go to the casinos with his parents. Every single year that we go I always wanted to take the short drive up to Memphis and go to Graceland! But we never did So this year Bubba and I stayed a few extra days and we went up to Graceland for the day. I was super excited about it at the time, but now coming home and learning SO much more about Elvis himself, I’m even more excited and wish I could go back! It was just such a cool experience, to walk where Elvis walked and lived. I think stuff like that is cool whereas my husband was like, yeah whatever… haha… But I have to say, by half way through the house, he was like, “Look! That was his favorite chair! Look, he used that phone!” haha, so he ended up being just as excited about it by the end. So ever since we went I have been on a major Elvis kick and can’t get enough of him! I wish there were more people like him in today’s world! Or that he were still around…. or maybe he is 😉

They say he never came down these stairs unless he was completely presentable and ready to mingle with people.

Unfortunately they won’t allow you upstairs out of respect to him and his privacy.

The Jungle Room 🙂 That was Lisa Marie’s favorite chair when she was little in the corner.

They were showing a press conference in his office that was actually recorded in this office.

This is in the racquetball house. The day he died (“died” 🙂 ) he had friends over and he played on that piano.

Lisa Marie celebrated her 9th birthday at this table on the plane. All the seats were suede and all the tables leather. All the seat belts were 24karat gold!

This was his favorite chair on the plane. He had two phones that he could dial to anywhere in the world. Pretty impressive status for someone in the 70s.

This was his bedroom on the plane. I had to touch the bed, the plastic was coming off. haha

This is a suit of Dean Martin’s that was donated to the exhibit at Graceland. Elvis was a huge Dean Martin fan 😀
